Flymaster

Flymaster was founded in March 2007, dedicated to the development of navigation instruments for light leisure aviation. Its market is global, currently selling in 40 countries, and present through distributors and/or resellers in 26.
In addition to its core business, Flymaster provides engineering services and R&D activities to companies. Examples include projects for terrestrial navigators, commonly known as GPS, having created the NDrive Touch range, as well as image reading and validation systems used in electronic ticketing validation.
The company's first product, called Flyamster F1&NAV+, remains an innovative instrument since it is the only one on the market that works in communication via Bluetooth with a PDA, besides being connected to a highly effective and complete software for competition flying. In 2007 the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, awarded the FlyMaster team the 1st ANIMEE prize for Innovation and Creativity for the development of the F1.
More recently the Flymaster B1 was developed, a basic variometer for all pilots, which was launched with great success at the most important world fair in September 2008. The B1 is a device without navigation capabilities, but it provides graphical and acoustic information on vertical speed, altitude, chronometer, temperature, etc., in addition to recording all flight data.
The B1 was chosen by the wings certification body as the reference equipment due to its precision and speed, surpassing anything else available on the market.
At the same time that the range of instruments for the free flight was covered, a specific instrument for paramotor was developed, the Flymaster M1. This instrument will be launched in September 2009 and will open a totally new market for Flymaster for which no commercial offer exists today. In fact, the M1 will be the only instrument on the market dedicated to paramotor, as it will be the only instrument to monitor engine temperature, engine speed and fuel management. This will open up a new and very interesting market.
Amongst several strengths of the company we highlight the following:
- Highly experienced and motivated team in the design and development of electronics and software;
- Clear objectives and a perfectly defined and detailed strategy;
- Innovative product range with high potential for market penetration;
- Knowledge and experience in selecting suppliers of high-quality and low-price components;
- Adequate economic balance and financial robustness;
- Speed in decision-making, and short lead time from the execution of R&D projects to placing products on the market.
