TECNET Business Camp is an event dedicated to technology, creativity, innovation and business and social entrepreneurship, promoted by Sanjotec in partnership with the City of S. João da Madeira and other technological partners. This is an initiative that brings together, in the same space, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, businesspeople, investors, financiers and institutions, so that everyone can get to know each other, network and exchange synergies.
At TECNET, the conditions are met, in multiple spaces, to strengthen contact between companies located in S&T Parks and Incubators, with entrepreneurs, investors and the market. It is the perfect opportunity to show the country a new generation of companies with innovative projects, glimpse their future and boost their growth.
The 3rd edition of TECNET 2017 took place between the 1st and 3rd of June with a full house, with this year''''s novelty being the integration of the Iberian Meeting of Technological and Scientific Parks, which accelerated networking and the sharing of new knowledge between Portuguese and Spanish markets.
1500 Participants, +150 Exhibitors and 102 Speakers from the most diverse sectors of activity relevant to the business environment and entrepreneurship, from Industry 4.0 and Smart Cities, through venture capital, investment in tourism , automobile, agri-food, textile and footwear sectors, among others, in addition to the presence of all science and technology parks in Portugal and also many in Spain, as well as rectors of universities in both countries.
Organized by Sanjotec and Municipal Council of S. João da Madeira, with the collaboration of TecParques, PortusPark and APTE, TECNET once again presented itself as a showcase fair for innovation and technologies, always maintaining a high level of level of expectations in the various initiatives and themes generated among participants, innovative projects, companies starting up, but also some big names in the industry.
In 2023, TECNET byte stood out by addressing the theme "Circular Future," focusing on eight strategic domains: Entrepreneurship, Circular Economy, Innovation, Financing, Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0 and Technological Talent.
The event featured a diverse program of conferences, bringing together around 50 speakers, from leaders of large companies to high school and college students, who presented the winning projects of the "Startup Zero" acceleration program. Among the speakers, personalities such as the American Ray Fisk, a specialist in interactive services marketing at the University of Texas, and the Portuguese Arlindo Oliveira, Artificial Intelligence researcher at the Instituto Superior Técnico, stand out. Furthermore, the event featured the participation of Ricardo Conde, president of the Portuguese Space Agency, and Rui Moura, a Portuguese researcher who trained as an astronaut as a suborbital crew member in the United States.
This edition of TECNET was not just limited to the exhibition of ideas and technologies: it was also an event that promoted networking and interaction between the various actors in the entrepreneurial and technological ecosystem. With over 300 attendees, the event provided an excellent opportunity to establish meaningful connections and promising partnerships.
