The Sanjotec Createch Boost project is a program promoted by Sanjotec, framed in the northern region, focusing on the municipality of São João da Madeira and the Metropolitan Area of ??Porto, leveraging entrepreneurship in the other regions of the North, promoting and fostering a Innovative, Dynamic and Partner Entrepreneurship.

This program aims to promote a change in the mentality and existing paradigm surrounding Entrepreneurship, eradicate and demystify existing prejudices, thus contributing to the promotion of innovation, the dynamization of a culture of entrepreneurship, and the assumption of risk in favor of of intergenerational entrepreneurial attitudes and training, support and financing and acceleration of business projects.

Project Indicators and Performance:

  • 24 Knowledge Transfer and Use Projects: which culminated in the development of technology demonstrator projects
  • 112 Companies in cooperation with research institutions
  • 73 Companies supported to introduce new products to the market
  • 390 RH: Increased employment in supported companies
  • 18 Workshops held
  • +1000 Participants in workshops and initiatives
  • 3 Benchmark Scientific Publications/Studies

 

Objectives and goals:

  • Foster cultural change in favor of the importance of technological transfer and scientific knowledge;
  • Encourage increased investment by R&I companies;
  • Bring IS&I companies closer together, making them more competitive;
  • Foster the creation of knowledge transfer and use projects;
  • Promote cooperation between companies and research institutions;
  • Raise awareness and reorient professionals and companies to promote qualification and competitiveness via P&I;
  • Encourage the sharing of knowledge and good practices between economic agents and the P&I system, and widespread dissemination of success stories;
  • Promote in an integrated way the offer of differentiated services and products, based on innovation;
  • Enhance the projection, national recognition of a qualification through scientific and technological knowledge, in order to create value, resulting in increased competitiveness, exports and job creation;
  • Promote the economic valorization of R&I results, associated with demonstrative pilot projects, sectoral experimental actions or actions to disseminate scientific and technological information, patenting and licensing of industrial property;
  • Encourage the emergence of new seed projects and spin-offs, within the scope of the P&I system, with a view to transforming innovative ideas into business initiatives;

 

Drive the emergence of new innovative concepts framed in:

  • Manufacturing / Digital manufacturing - Digital manufacturing;
  • Freeform Fabrication;
  • Additive Manufacturing;
  • Fused Filament Fabrication - Modeling by Deposition (of matter) Fused/Fused Filament Fabrication;
  • Product Development / Design.
